Skylar is almost 4 months old now, and it seems like he's always been here. He is truly a joy to have around, such a smiley little boy and very talkative! He has started teething and is drooling and chewing on his fist at all times. He has a few teething toys that he kinda likes to chew on, but nothing beats the Sophie giraffe. He is always trying to sit up, and he already puts so much weight on his legs when we stand him up. He takes a good morning nap usually an hour after he wakes, which is around 5:30am, and then a few short ones during the day. But he sleeps great at night. Is asleep by 8:30 for the night, wakes up around 1:30am to nurse, then sleeps till 5:30am. Triston was the worse sleeper ever, he was up every 2 hours for the first 1 1/2 of his life ha. So that means mommy gets sleep! And God knew I needed it. He is sleeping in the pack-n-play next to our bed at night. He will take a nap here and there in it, but usually likes to sleep on me during his naps or in his swing. He's 16lbs now and is a great nurser!
Triston will be 2 in just a couple weeks, and is the size of a 3 year old. He is learning how to count, which usually goes "1,2,3,4,6,3,2,6" but he's getting it! Something really clicked and is putting nouns with verbs and adjectives. He is still very into trains, planes, and anything with a motor. He also started wanting to hold Skylar and always is trying to hold his hand. I'm not sure how much he grew this summer, but it was a lot, it seems like we are always having to buy new clothes for him because he keeps growing. At least Skylar has a whole wardrobe ahead of him! He has been having a great summer spending time with both sets of grandparents.
Jon's been mostly working for himself all summer doing concrete. These past few months he's only had a day here or there off, so we cherish the time we get together! Very thankful for a hard working husband! Our 4 year anniversary is coming up on the 5th of September! Can't believe it's already been 4 years and two kids later. Sherri and Jeff took the boys last night and we were able to have another date night at creamers field. I made homemade pizza, then we went on the walk to the tree forts and took lots of pictures with my new camera he got me! Poor Jon always puts up with my million pictures habit. He always says "my whole life is documented" which is very true haha. His friend is flying up here this week to visit for awhile and meet the boys.
I've been being a wife & mom, taking care of the boys, cooking, cleaning, and everything that comes with that job. Also been doing yoga everyday, and really enjoying the challenge it brings. Started a big quilt this month, and a few other small craft projects. I've lost all the baby weight, but have started the long road of getting toned again. The second one sure does take a toll on your body! I am excited for fall and winter if you can believe that! Small groups, knitting, holidays, family time, and winter sports are a head of us!
